Every year on May 15, thousands of officers gather for the multiple events in the National Capitol Region to honor our brother and sister officers who made the ultimate sacrifice and to support the surviving family members and their comrades. During National Police Week agencies thoughout our nation conduct local events to honor our fallen. This week serves as a vivid reminder that we work in a very dangerous profession. It is also a reminder that we made promises to the survivor families and to our brothers and sisters who have survived critical events with serious physical, emotional, and spiritual injuries and scars. We need to look for ways to assist our hurting blue family members. If we realize that their needs exceed our personal or local resources we should seek to find other available assistance. Before Linda's significant health problems, she and Mike served on a ministry team during the D.C. Police Week events until the Covid-19 outbreak. Please pray for the Christian officers who are trying to assist our officers and families during this week. Pray that our Lord provides many opportunities for our brothers and sisters to share God's love, and that He provides comfort to those with hurting hearts. At HART RESCUE we will continue to pray for you all throughout the year.
