HART RESCUE

Where we've been

Mike and Linda represented FCPO-USA at the International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC) Regional Training Seminar in Council Bluffs, IA in September. They traveled south to Nashville and to Chattanooga making numerous individual contacts. While in Chattanooga, Mike met with FCPO Director Paul Lee, and he attended a national board of directors meeting. Mike also spoke with members of local church safety teams in Hamilton County, TN to discuss use of force issues. The Field Team attended the Breaching the Barricade Conference in Elkhart, IN and the annual Police Appreciation event in Sturgis, MI spearheaded by Jim Bontrager. Thanks to Chuck (LT Chicago PD, Ret) and Carol Urgo for their assistance at the HR tent this year in Sturgis! The field team was in SW Ohio where Mike met with the Chief of Police and other officers from his first agency where he began his police career 50 years ago (Oct 4, 1971). Mike also made his annual stop to visit the Butler County Sheriff. BCSO recently lost two deputies to Covid, and HPD lost an officer to Covid. Please pray with us for the families of those officers. Mike also made a station visit at the Hamilton, OH Fire Headquarters where he visited with the Fire Chief, providing materials from the Fellowship of Christian Firefighters. Mike and Linda visited family in New London County, CT for a few weeks before heading to Florida. Please reach out to us if you need to talk, or if you need us to pray for you. Continue to pray for our hurting cop, fire, EMS, and military families, especially for those recently lost, injured, and seriously ill. May you all have a safe and blessed Christmas season and may our Lord, Jesus Christ, watch over, protect, and bless all of you and your families.
